My Ripple Series is an exploration of creative inspiration, captured through the interplay of mixed media drawing, wet painting, and a multi-layered resin piece. Inspired by the ancient Greek concept of "daemons," I view creativity as a Divine ‘Deity’ that passes through and speaks through me, manifesting in ripples and waves which characterise this series. The mixed media drawings depict the initial, raw interactions with this external force, using lines and forms to trace the presence of my inspiration. Wet painting adds a fluid, dynamic quality, symbolising the ever-changing nature of inspiration and the continuous flow of creative energy. The multi-layered resin paintings provide depth and dimension, encapsulating the ripple-like apparitions that emerge from this divine dialogue. Together, these elements create a visual narrative that honours my ‘Deity’, making its counsel and presence tangible.
